Nemudryi Lab
(October 2024 - Current)

Principal Investigator
Artem Nemudryi
Department/Institution
Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at the UF College of Medicine
Current Project
Determining molecular mechanisms of viral sensing by bacterial Schlafen immunity
Research Focus
I am currently an intern in the Nemudryi lab studying the immune systems of bacterial and mammalian cells. The aim of my current project is to identify immune systems that could be used as new biotechnology tools. I am also researching the abortive immune response and how to identify it in cells.

Responsibilites
In the lab, I utilize techniques like site-specific mutagenesis and molecular cloning. As an intern, I also review and present research.
